Crystal unveils ‘ship switch’ first for 2018
For the first time, Crystal Cruises’ two ships Crystal Symphony and Crystal Serenity will offer concurrent world cruises in 2018, offering four separate itineraries aboard the two ships.
Each ship will embark on the world cruise in January 2018, with both ships arriving together in Sydney on February 17.
This offers cruisers the chance to combine itineraries and switch ships.
Itineraries range from 97 to 129 days, with a combined 111 destinations visited in 45 countries including 16 maiden calls.
Crystal’s 2018 World Cruise collection will be Crystal Symphony’s first world cruise for 15 years.
Each of the itineraries have different durations, including a 114-day sailing from Cape Town to Miami from January 7 to April 30, 2018.
It sails much of the Southern Hemisphere, from South Africa to Australia and New Zealand, the South Pacific, French Polynesia and South America before heading to the Caribbean.
World Cruise Two departs Los Angeles on January 23 and visits the South Pacific, Australia, Indonesia, Southeast Asia, India, Dubai and the Mediterranean before arriving in Rome on May 16.
World Cruise Three and Four itineraries combine sailings on both ships round the globe from Cape Town to Rome and Los Angeles to Miami respectively.
