Cultural Attractions of Australia adds new members
Cultural Attractions of Australia (CAOA), a collection of Australia’s most iconic attractions, has added two new Canberra-based institutions to its 19-strong collective.
The new CAOA members are the National Portrait Gallery and the Australian Institute of Sport.
The group is made up of landmark attractions across diverse cultural, historical and sporting influences.
CAOA provides a range of curated, behind-the-scenes experiences that enhances immersive experiences for travellers.
The National Portrait Gallery provides an art gallery experience showcasing the nation’s history, culture and creativity.
Gallery Director, Bree Pickering, said: “We are thrilled to join the Cultural Attractions of Australia collective and bring unique experiences that will captivate and inspire local and international audiences.”
The Australian Institute of Sport (AIS), is synonymous with sporting excellence and innovation.
The AIS not only nurtures elite athletes but also offers visitors an immersive look at high-performance sport.
It presents interactive tours and exhibitions about Australia’s sporting achievements.
Australian Sports Commission CEO, Kieren Perkins, said sport is an integral part of Australia’s DNA.
“The AIS has played an incredibly important role in Australia’s sporting success on the international stage over the past four decades.”
Both new members have a strong focus on promoting cultural tourism in Australia.
Cultural Attractions of Australia (CAOA) provides a single point of contact for travel trade.
The curated experiences offered through the collective are pre-bookable and fully commissionable to travel agents.
CAOA has a dedicated trade website where rates and images can be accessed.
