Cunard promotes Marlow to top role
Carol Marlow has been promted to president and managing director of Cunard Line.
She moves up from the position of managing director Europe, Middle East and Africa. She was also UK boss of Princess Cruises, chairman of Swan Hellenic and responsible for the UK sales of Seabourn.
All the cruise brands are within the Carnival portfolio.
In her new role, Marlow will continue to be based in the UK but will split her time between the US.
Her move comes as the two-ship line prepares for the introduction of new vessel Queen Victoria in December 2007.
P&O Priness Cruises International CEO Peter Ratcliffe said: “Her wide array of experience with a number of cruise companies, along with her leadership skills and understanding of international markets, will add considerably to the strength of the Cunard brand.”
Marlow said: “I believe there’s a tremendous opportunity to help further develop the Cunard brand, and add to its impressive legacy of 165 years.”
