Cunard Queens meet in Hong Kong
Cunard’s newest ship Queen Anne joined fleet mate Queen Elizabeth for the very first time as the Queens docked together in Hong Kong.
Queen Anne docked at Kai Tak Cruise Terminal, before Queen Elizabeth joined her the following day.
The 3,000-guest Queen Anne, currently in port at Penang in Malaysia, is sailing her maiden 107-night world voyage from Southampton.
Before returning the south coast next month, Queen Anne will have visited 30 different ports across 18 countries.
Queen Elizabeth, which recently completed a refurbishment ahead of inaugural Miami-Caribbean and Alaska seasons, is currently on a 9-night voyage to Yokohama in Japan.
Captain Inger Thorhauge, Cunard’s first female Captain, is currently at the helm of Queen Anne, with Captain Aureliano Mazzella captaining Queen Elizabeth.
Cunard recently announced aa partnership with Sail4th 250, which is organising America’s 250th anniversary celebration I the Port of New York and NJ.
Flagship Queen Mary 2 will be a main focus of the landmark event, offering guests a unique vantage point to witness a huge flotilla, fireworks and entertainment.
More than 30 tall ships are expected.
