Cvent says ‘I do’ with acquisition of Wedding Spot
Meetings and events, technology provider Cvent has announced the acquisition of San Francisco based wedding venue platform Wedding Spot.
Wedding Spot lists about 12,000 event venues and hotels.
It allows couples to search and compare venues.
Cvent hopes the addition of wedding Spot will boost group business opportunities for the 260,000 hotels and venues that use the Cvent Supplier Network.
"With Wedding Spot, we can offer new ways for our hospitality customers to tap into the $100 billion wedding industry while also expanding our venue sourcing options," said Reggie Aggarwal, CEO and founder of Cvent.
Wedding Spot processes more than 200,000 requests each year, and existing Cvent Hospitality Cloud clients will be able to tap the Wedding Spot platform to connect with buyers.
Clients can create their wedding day experience by selecting preferences such as guest count, wedding date, and a range of specific services to receive an instant online price estimate.
