Dates for Italian trade show announced
Leading Italian travel trade show TTG Incontri is to be held this year on October 22-24.
Touted as the country’s main B2B tourism event, the exhibition is the main gateway to the Italian outbound travel sector.
Travel agents represent more than 70% of trade visitors to the show.
The event attracted more than 35,000 people last year, with international attendance up by 37% to 6,000, according to the organisers.
Trade workshop TTI, which promotes Italian tourism, runs alongside the show for two days and attracted 600 international buyers from 59 countries last year.
Exhibition and event manager Antonio Dell’Aqullano said: "In 2009 we organised over 100 one-hour training courses during the three days of the fair dedicated to all segments of travel professionals.
"We want to repeat the same successful exercise in 2010. We believe that if companies have to invest their money and personnel time in participating at exhibitions, as well as the business opportunities made by the meetings at the fair, they have to come out with added professional value too."
