Delay in easyJet deal for Go
EasyJet’s plans to buy Go for £400m has been delayed.
EasyJet had hoped to unveil a deal today to coincide with the announcement of its interim results earlier today.
However, negotiations are still going on between the two no-frills airlines and 3i, the venture capital group that owns 43% of Go.
Earlier today, Easyjet chief executive Ray Webster said talks with Go were at a very advanced stage and an announcement was now likely within a “matter of days”.
