Delta 126 ‘wired’ for explosives?
Officials decided to turn around Delta Flight 126, a Boeing 767-300 carrying 206 passengers and bound for Madrid shortly after 9:30 p.m., EDT, this Thursday, 90 minutes after the flight took off, reports Reuters.
Two wires were found inside plastic straws. One was found in a toilet and one in a sink.
The flight was returned to JFK out of an "abundance of caution," said Delta, and two passengers, a man and a woman were questioned and released.
Bomb technicians examined the plane but no evidence of explosives was found.
Investigations are continuing.
