Delta Air Lines launching Boston flights from Las Vegas
Delta Air Lines is adding a new transcontinental route connecting Las Vegas with Boston.
The service kicks off on October 1, with one daily round-trip flight on Boeing 737-800 aircraft.
That will take up to 50 the number of destinations served by Delta and its Delta Connection partner airlines at Boston.
"Logan Airport serves millions of passengers each year and we are always looking to open up new opportunities for travelers," said Massport director of aviation Ed Freni.
"We are excited about this new route and bringing more options to passengers through Delta’s increased service."
Delta currently serves a dozen cities direct from Las Vegas.
The Vegas-Boston route is also served by JetBlue and Spirit Airlines.
