Delta Air Lines to make vaccination compulsory for new employees
Delta Air Lines said it will mandate Covid-19 vaccines for new hires, as the company says more than 60% have received the jab. Existing employees aren’t forced to take the vaccine to remain in a job, but flight crew who do not get vaccinated may be barred from working on international flights, CEO Ed Bastian said.
Some destination countries may require all flight crew to be vaccinated, Bastian said. The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission recently said it is legal for employers to require vaccinations for some job roles.
