Delta, LATAM boost Americas joint venture with new routes
Delta and joint venture partner LATAM are adding more connected routes on their combined network between North and South America.
The routes will extend the joint venture between the two continents and increase connectivity for Peru and Colombia flights.
LATAM Airlines Colombia will launch new daily service between Miami and Medellin on October 29.
The route will operate with Airbus A320 aircraft with Premium Economy and Economy service.
On the same day, LATAM Airlines Peru will introduce three-times weekly service between its Lima hub and Delta’s Atlanta hub.
It will complement Delta’s existing daily service on the route.
Additionally, Delta will offer service between its Atlanta hub and Cartagena.
These Colombia flights begin December 22, with three-times weekly service.
Delta also will add a second daily flight between Atlanta and Bogota beginning October 29 on Boeing 757 aircraft.
Delta and the LATAM Group’s partnership links more than 200 North American destinations served by Delta to 120 South American destinations operated by LATAM airlines.
The route additions will enable travelers to explore Atlanta, Miami, Cartagena, Bogota, Lima and Medellin.
From Atlanta, Delta offers more than 780 daily flights to 143 destinations within North America.
From Miami, Delta has more than 30 daily flights to 11 destinations in the U.S., while the LATAM Group offers 102 flights per week from Miami to five South America cities.
“These exciting new routes, combined with our loyalty benefits, will provide even more ways to discover and do business,” said Alex Antilla, Delta VP, Latin America.
