Delta offer SkyMiles for Lyft rides
Delta SkyMiles members can now start earning every time they take a ride with car sharing service Lyft.
The two companies have struck a deal offering one SkyMile for evey dollar spent with Lyft.
For a limited time until August 31, 2017 riders can earn three bonus miles for any Lyft pickup or drop off at any airport.
To start earning Skymiles members need to log into their account and link it to their Lyft account.
New Lyft users will also get a $20 ride credit.
Lyft now has the official designation of being Delta’s exclusive rideshare partner.
It is not the first tiome Delta has joined hands with a Silicon Valley unicorn in the sharing economy space.
Delta partenered with rental platform Airbnb last year to offer SkyMiles members earning opportunities when they book an Airbnb or as Airbnb hosts.
