Delta scores sponsorship of CONCACAF Gold Cup
Delta Air Lines has struck a deal with the Confederation of North, Central America and Caribbean Association Football (CONCACAF) to sponsor the 2015 CONCACAF Gold Cup.
The Atlanta based airline will be the official airline sponsor for the Gold Cup soccer tournament for the first time, which kicks off from July 7-26.
"We’re delighted to sponsor the CONCACAF Gold Cup because it reaches an audience of millions throughout Delta’s network in Latin America and the Caribbean," said Nicolas Ferri, Delta’s vice president of Latin America and the Caribbean.
Delta already sponsors MLS franchise Seattle Sounders and has a branding partnership with recently crowned English Premier League champions Chelsea FC.
Games takes place in 13 North American cities including Boston, Chicago, Dallas, and Kansas City, while Delta’s hometown Atlanta will host the semi finals.
"Delta wants to be the best U.S. airline in the region, and partnering with CONCACAF allows us to play an even bigger part in the countries we serve by supporting one of their citizens’ greatest passions," added Ferri.
