Delta Shuttle heads West
Travel from Los Angeles to San Francisco will get even easier this fall, when Delta begins an hourly Delta Shuttle service on the West Coast.
Like the popular New York to Boston and Washington shuttles in the East, the flights will depart hourly, so travelers can just show up at the airport and jump on the next flight.
Beginning Sept. 3, Delta Shuttle flights will depart every hour on the hour beginning at 7 a.m., Monday through Friday.
The flights will be operated by Delta Connection partner Compass Airlines on E-175 aircraft. Each holds 76 passengers, 12 First Class, 12 Economy Comfort and 52 Economy seats.
The Shuttle allows check-in up to 30 minutes before a flight at dedicated check-in counters, and gates close to security, so travelers can show up at 7:30 and be in the air by 8:00.
Onboard snacks and beverages will have a local flair, including products from LYFE Kitchen, a California-based lifestyle food brand, Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. craft beer, Starbucks coffee and wine from Wente Vineyards.
Delta SkyMiles members will earn a minimum of 500 miles for all Shuttle flights.
