Delta to start Edinburgh-JFK flights
Delta Air Lines is replacing Atlanta flights with a year-round nonstop service from Edinburgh to New York JFK Airport next year.
The new service, due to start in May, will be operated using Boeing 757-200 ETOPS aircraft, with 16 seats in BusinessElite class and 158 seats in economy.
Delta’s New York service will be the only scheduled nonstop service between Scotland and JFK and will replace Delta’s current nonstop flight to Atlanta which will discontinue service effective October 27.
Delta passengers flying to New York from Edinburgh will benefit from convenient connections throughout the US and beyond to over 40 destinations.
Delta added 13 domestic destinations to its JFK hub in 2006 and a further 10 are expected to be added this year.
