DFDS launches special offers on selected routes
DFDS Seaways is offering free caravan travel and half price car travel on a number of its routes this spring and summer.
The cruise ferry operator to Scandinavia and Northern Europe is allowing passengers to take their caravans for free when they book selected sailings on its Harwich-Esbjerg route this peak summer period, and on selected sailings on the Newcastle-Amsterdam route this spring and peak summer period.
In the peak season, a return crossing for two passengers with a car and caravan on the Harwich-Esbjerg route will cost from £358, a saving of £216 off the normal price.
The same package on the Newcastle-Amsterdam service costs from £278, also a saving of £216.
Prices are based on two passengers sharing a two-berth ensuite cabin travelling with a standard six-metre caravan.
Meanwhile, customers are being offered half price car travel on trips to Sweden or Norway on its Newcastle-Kristiansand Gothenburg route for selected departures throughout May and June 2006, if booked before 15 May.
A return crossing for two passengers sharing an ensuite cabin with a car costs £265, saving £65.
