Digital Innovation conference keeps faith with Bangkok
The Digital Innovation Asia Conference and Awards will go ahead at the Bangkok Marriott Hotel on June 2-3 despite some fears that martial law, declared in Thailand this week, would deter delegates from attending the event.
Organiser Jens Thraenhart said: "We considered cancelling the event due to the political situation in Thailand, but during my guest talk at the SKAL lunch in Bangkok, I asked the 30 hotel GMs present what to do.
"The response was that we needed to go forward, to show support for Thailand, and leverage the bloggers to tell the world that Thailand is safe."
Members of PATA, SKAL and the American Chamber of Commerce, can attend the event at a special rate of USD59, giving access to the E-Tourism Asia Boot Camp and the DIA Awards at the Bangkok Marriott Hotel Sukhumvit Thonglor and at Levels Club on Sukhumvit Soi 11.
