Direct Travel snaps up another agency
Corporate travel company Direct Travel has acquired Maryland based agency Travel Destinations Management Group.
This is the second deal in a week for Direct Travel, following the purchase of Nashville agency Caldwell Travel.
Travel Destinations Management was founded in 1970 and focuses on corporate pharma clients in the Baltimore area.
It has $100 million sales turnover and is headquartered in Owings Mills, Maryland.
Direct Travel said it will be the company’s fifth acquisition in the last three years.
CEO Ed Adams said other acquisitions are being planned.
"It is another major step forward for Direct Travel and demonstrates our determination to continue to drive expansion through both acquisitions and organic growth," he said.
Direct Travel employs over 350 travel professionals based in the North East, Mid-West and California.
The latest acquisitions will operate under the company’s flagship brand, Direct Travel, Inc from May.
