Discounted hotel rates in NYC

Saturday, 20 Sep, 2007 0

Promoters of New York City are trying to do something about those notorious high-priced hotel rooms.

A new “NYC Sunday Stays” program started by NYC & Company offers reduced of up to 30% with participating partners. The goal is to encourage more hotel guests to stay on Sundays.

Other discounts include less expensive room service and restaurant dining, complimentary breakfasts, free parking and room upgrades.

“This is a cost-effective initiative that will allow people to enjoy the city at a discount,” George Fertitta, CEO of NYC & Company, said in a statement. He added:

“Whether a visitor is here for business or pleasure, NYC Sunday Stays encourages travelers to extend their trips through Sunday night or come a day early to spend Sunday night in the city at a considerable value.”

Participating hotels include the five W New York hotels and The Algonquin Hotel; more will be added later, according to NYC & Company.
