Disney confirms 2019 opening for Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge
Disney’s much vaunted Star Wars themed land is just a year away from opening.
In a new video teaser the company announced Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge will first open at Disneyland in Anaheim in summer 2019, followed by Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Orlando in the fall.
Disney hasn’t confirmed exact dates yet.
The 14-acre themed zones feature two major rides including an intergalactic trip on the Millennium Falcon and a ride replicating ‘an intense battle between the First Order and the Resistance.’
The lands are set on the planet of Battu and will include dining in the ‘Cantina’ while the Florida park is getting its own immersive Star Wars themed hotel.
