Disney Cruise Line tweaks travel agency commissions
Disney Cruise Line is again tweaking the way it pays agent commission beginning in the New Year.
In a communication to agents, Disney said agencies will get the basic 10% commission with tiered enhancements subject to annual sales volume.
That means agencies with below $74,000 in bookings will receive 10%, for sales of between $146,000 and $320,999 they get 12% and 16% commission for sales of $1,606,000 and up.
"As is common in the travel industry, we periodically evaluate commission levels and make adjustments," Disney said.
It will also review commission levels of agencies on a regular basis to see whether the commission rate should be amended.
All non-cruise revenue will be paid a flat 10% commission.
