Disrupted QM2 passengers to be refunded
Some passengers whose cruise on the Queen Mary 2 was disrupted after a propulsion pod accident are to receive full refunds.
Those disembarking in Rio de Janeiro are to be refunded in full rather than a 50% refund originally offered by operator Cunard.
The world’s largest cruise ship was forced to miss St Kitts, Barbados and Salvador as part of a Latin America itinerary after a propeller pod was damaged as it left Fort Lauderdale on January 17.
The BBC reported that some passengers had threated a sit-in protest over the 50% refund offer.
