Distinctive Homes in Colorado offers 10%
The market for renting luxury private vacation homes continues to grow, and agents are collecting 10% and higher commissions at places such as Distinctive Homes in the greater Denver area.
Owner DiAnn Butler has collected 78 carefully chosen homes in the Winter Park-Grand Lake area about an hour’s drive from Denver. Homes range from the $200s a night to $1100 a night.
“That $1100 gets you a six-bedroom home on the golf course, private hot tubs, a gourmet kitchen, and two living room areas,” she said.
Ms Butler said all of her homes have gold or platinum ratings, reflecting the amenities and services of comparable Four and Five Star resorts.
Her staff provides free all-inclusive options. These range from recreational activities such as skiing, golfing and mountain biking, and hiking to meeting requirements, dining reservations and grocery delivery.
For intimate getaways, personal chefs and catering can be arranged, according to Ms Butler.
Distinctive Homes also has a Kids Go Too service that helps plan family travel needs.
Ms Butler said agents who sell more than $20,000 in bookings get higher than 10% commissions.
The Winter Park area northwest of Denver is a year-round resort.
