Doubletree makes London West End debut
Hilton has opened its first Doubletree property in central London and is to open another in Chester next year.
The move comes as the company seeks to have more than 20 Doubletree-branded properties in the UK in the next five years.
The re-branded 112-room Courthouse Doubletree by Hilton London-Regent Street brings the upscale brand up to 200 properties worldwide and the fifth Doubletree in Europe.
The Courthouse Doubletree by Hilton London – Regent Street is operated by a subsidiary of Mastcraft Limited under a franchise agreement with Hilton.
The chain has also entered into a franchise license deal which will see the Hoole Hall Country Club and Hotel in Chester become a Doubletree by Hilton in early 2009.
The property has 110 rooms, meeting space, a ballroom, restaurant and bar. A spa is to be added to its health club and pool.
