Dreamliner in emergency landing
A Japan Airlines-operated Dreamliner made an emergency landing at Honolulu Airport after oil pressure in its right engine dropped.
The flight en route to San Francisco from Tokyo diverted to Honolulu on Saturday afternoon with 160 passengers on board, a spokesman for JAL said.
No one was injured in the incident.
"We are investigating the cause of the drop in oil pressure,’ the spokesman said.
The Boeing 787 is still parked in Hawaii, he added.
It is the latest glitch to hit the Dreamliner, which has suffered a series of problems with overheating batteries and fuel leaks.
Investigators in Japan are still probing a battery that overheated on a JAL Dreamliner parked at Tokyo’s Narita airport in January this year.
The Dreamliner was grounded for several months in January 2013 after problems with its lithium-ion batteries.
