Duchess is guest of honour at hotel lunch
The Duchess of Cambridge was guest of honour yesterday at a lunch to mark the re-opening of the historic The Goring Hotel, where she stayed with her family the night before her wedding to Prince William.
The London hotel, which is a stone’s throw from Buckingham Palace, has undergone a top to bottom refurbishment.
Celebrities and regular guests who were also invited to the lunch were greeted by the Coldstream Guards band, situated outside the main entrance.
Kate Middleton and her family occupied the two-bedroom Royal suite, which spans the length of the top floor of the hotel, the night before the royal wedding on April 29, 2011.
