Momentum Strong for Fully-Integrated Enterprise Travel Management Solution

Salt Lake City, Utah -15 July, 2002 – e-Travel, the leading global provider of online travel technology, today announced a five-year extension of its existing partnership with SAP AG, through which it provides to SAP customers an integrated travel management solution, the Travel Management component of mySAPTM Financials. The SAP travel planning application within Travel Management, developed jointly by SAP and Amadeus, is powered by the e-Travel/Amadeus reservation platform. mySAP Financials Travel Management allows seamless integration of online booking with the human resources, accounting and travel expenses applications within the mySAP Financials and mySAP Human Resources solutions.

To date, the partnership has resulted in significant global customer implementations, including Bayer, Compaq, DaimlerChrysler, Deutsche Bank and Merck & Co., Inc.

As part of the extension agreement, e-Travel will continue to provide the mySAP Financials Travel Management component with the following:

  • Development resources and expertise to expand and enhance its corporate travel solution, which fully integrates with human resources, travel policy, travel planning, accounting, finance and payroll, and workflow modules
  • Online, real-time reservations for air, car, hotel and rail
  • Access to Amadeus Value Pricer, Amadeus’ low fare search solution that matches the least expensive fares with available flights within seconds
  • Global consolidation of all bookings – both online and offline – within the Amadeus global distribution system
  • Access to comprehensive travel and financial data for enterprise-wide decision making
  • 24×7 support by e-Travel and SAP

“There is a tremendous movement toward corporations more closely aligning travel procurement with the enterprise, and this partnership is a great example of how e-Travel satisfies this customer need,” said Scott Gutz, CEO and president of e-Travel North America. “With a strong track record of success already, the extension of this agreement is a signal of e-Travel’s commitment to SAP, and a promise to continue to deliver value and measurable results to SAP customers.”

Amadeus launched e-Travel as a new business unit earlier this year to provide global online solutions for airlines, corporations, travel agencies and other travel partners. The “new” e-Travel combines the online solutions activities offered by Amadeus into one focused organization, dedicated to achieving net success for its customers. e-Travel currently powers more than 2,600 travel Web sites and helps fulfill the travel booking needs of 230 of the world’s leading corporations in more than 20 countries.
