East Midlands Airport to hold jobs fair
More than 350 jobs will be on offer when East Midlands Airport holds its annual jobs fair later this month.
The event takes place on Saturday, January 26, inside the check-in hall and representatives from the airport and partner companies such as Jet2.com, Swissport and Jury’s Inn hotel, will attend.
East Midlands Airport it is looking to take on additional staff in time for the busy summer season, which runs from April 1 to October 31, during which time two-thirds of annual passengers fly to and from the airport.
Many of the roles are customer-facing positions and include jobs in passenger services, security, car parking, hospitality, retail, food and beverage.
The entire airport site is home to over 80 individual businesses which, between them, employ 8,000 people.
Delivery companies UPS and DHL will also be there, recruiting for cargo handling roles.
