EasyJet adds new flight to Tenerife

EasyJet has started selling flights on its newest route from Southend to Tenerife.

The twice-weekly service will launch on December 13 and the airline expects to carry more than 11,000 passengers a year on the flights.

EasyJet UK commercial manager Hugh Aitken said: "We’re absolutely delighted to be launching our 16th destination from London Southend to Tenerife.  It’s perfect for winter sun and we’re sure it will be a big hit with our customers from Southend and the wider region.

The announcement come three months after easyJet announced its expansion at Southend by adding a fourth aircraft to the base and three new routes to Newquay, Berlin and Krakow
