EasyJet announces daily flight to Norway
EasyJet has announced its first ever flights to Norway with the launch of a daily flight between Gatwick and Bergen from May.
Norway will be the 33rd country easyJet flies to with the airline expecting to carry more than 100,000 passengers between Norway and the UK annually.
Paul Simmons, easyJet’s UK Director said:"This is the first time easyJet has offered flights to Norway and Bergen is a fantastic city – often referred to as the Gateway to the Fjords – and I’m sure it will be a popular route with our passengers.
Bergen airport manager, Mrs Adelheid Nes, said: "We are very happy with the fact that easyJet has chosen Bergen Airport as their first airport in Norway. easyJet has a strong position in Europe and will bring in thousands of tourists to Bergen."
The launch comes a month after easyJet announced increased services between London Gatwick and Denmark’s capital city Copenhagen, from three to four each day.
