EasyJet boss wants PCR test costs reduced further
EasyJet chief Johan Lundgren wants the average cost of PCR tests to be cut to around £30. Although there has been some action to reduce the cost of PCR test kits, it hasn’t gone far enough.
"It’s important the government makes good on its promise to drive down the cost of testing. We see the costs of PCR tests coming down to £60. That is still a significant cost for a family," he said.
Lundgren has called for testing to be scrapped for arrivals coming from low risk ‘green’ countries or permitting the use of cheaper lateral flow tests instead.
