EasyJet flights to be hit by pilots’ strike tomorrow
EasyJet is warning that flights to and from Amsterdam could be disrupted tomorrow by a strike by its Dutch pilots who are members of the VNV union.
The pilots have announced they will take industrial action between 6am and 2pm on Tuesday in a row over pay and pensions.
EasyJet said up to date information about affected flights would be available on its flight tracker which can be checked on its mobile app or on easyJet’s website. Customers whose flights are cancelled will be entitled to claim for some expenses, it said.
"We have been working closely with the VNV to negotiate a collective labour agreement. Although we have been unable to agree on some issues, we believe our latest offer represents a substantial improvement and we have already implemented a number of changes as a result of the discussions, as we know these issues are important to our pilots," said easyJet.
"We are disappointed at this unnecessary strike action and are working to minimise the impact to our customers. We’re sorry for any inconvenience this may cause you."
