EasyJet head of product development joins Collinson Group
Peter Gerstle has been appointed head of travel products for the Collinson Group.
He joins from easyJet, where he led the airline’s product development.
According to Collinson Group, Gerstle was responsible for products contributing in excess of £500 million in revenue for easyJet, including pioneering the Speedy Boarding Service.
He also introduced easyJetPlus!, its frequent traveller paid-for membership programme with additional benefits.
Before he was at easyJet, he was marketing director at Pegasus Solutions as well as global internet business director for InterContinental Hotels.
In his new role, Gerstle will focus on "end-to-end journey management", including initiatives such as dynamic travel redemption, airport VIP services (incorporating accompanied fast-track) and a unique assistance service for travellers experiencing delays, to be launched later this year.
