easyJet launches new service to Israel
easyJet will begin operating a year-round service to Tel Aviv from Manchester this autumn with the inaugural flight taking off on November 1.
Flights on the new route will go on sale on Thursday.
The twice-weekly service will operate in addition to easyJet’s flights to Tel Aviv from Luton airport, which started in 2009.
UK commerical manager Ali Gayward said: "There is a very strong cultural link between the North West of England and Tel Aviv, with a large Jewish community in Manchester and the surrounding areas, and we hope this direct route will demonstrate our commitment to providing low cost flight options for popular routes."
Manchester Airports Group chief commercial officer Ken O’Toole said: "easyJet continues to grow here at Manchester and that is something we aim to support as they continue their growth plans across Europe."
