EasyJet monthly carryings up 19.5%
EasyJet passenger numbers were up by 19.5% last month over June 2007.
The budget airline carried 4.1 million people against 3.4 million in the equivalent period last year.
Last month’s figure was up by 19.5% due to the incorporation of recently acquired GB Airways.
“In line with expectations, total revenue per seat continues to improve and to date nearly 70% of seats for the second half of the year have been sold,†a statement said.
The June passenger load factor hit 86.9%, up marginally on June 2007.
In the 12 months ending in June 2008, passenger numbers were up by 15.7% to 41.2 million from 35.6 million, with a slight reduction in load factor to 83.3%.
