easyJet sees monthly carryings rise 16%
EasyJet saw carryings rise by almost 16% last month over May 2007.
The budget carrier carried more than 3.8 million passengers, with a load factor marginally down at 83.2%.
The airline also cut 20% off two million early summer seats for bookings made by June 10.
The seat sale applies to flights between June 16 and July 17 – the period before the majority of state schools break up for summer holidays.
The carrier is also offering 30% off accommodation through easyJetHotels and 20% off transfers through Holiday Taxis.
