EasyJet set for busiest half-term ever
Leisure airline easyJet is prepping for its busiest ever half-term holiday period.
It has scheduled 15,800 flights across Europe throughout the week-long school holiday break.
It says it expects to carry half a million holidaymakers on more than 3,000 easyJet flights alone during this weekend.
The airline will operate up to 9,000 flights to and from the UK during half-term to beach, city and ski resort destinations
It says Geneva is proving to be the most popular destination this half-term.
The Red Sea resorts of Sharm-el-Shiekh and Hurghada are also popular due to year-round sunshine as are Tenerife and Lanzarote.
Flights to Alicante and Malaga continue to attract winter sun holidaymakers, easyJet says.
The easyJet holidays Big Orange Sale is still live, with up to £500 off city breaks and beach packages using the code BIGSALE.
EasyJet serves 22 UK airports, offering more than 640 routes to over 140 destinations.
