Ebookers shares push ahead again

There were small moves for many travel and tourism shares yesterday as London’s main equity indices notched up decent gains. The FTSE 250 index added 49.6 points to end the day at 4673.8, while the FTSE 250 had a similar session, gaining 39.4 points to end the day at 6361.2. The biggest move came at ebookers, which added 16.5p to end the day at 267p. The Guardian predicts that any potential suitor for the company – and merger rumours have been swirling around for several weeks now – would have to pay as much as 350p per share for the firm.
