Edinburgh Airport regains China flights
Chinese carrier Hainan Airlines has resumed direct Edinburgh flights.
Scotland’s only direct China flight links Edinburgh with Beijing twice weekly on Airbus A330 aircraft.
The seasonal service runs through 6 October.
“We’re excited to be reconnecting Scotland and China and deliver yet more destination and experience choices,” said Gordon Dewar, Edinburgh Airport CEO.
“This Hainan Airlines service will make it easier for people in Scotland and China to experience the very best of our countries.”
The Edinburgh flights return nearly four years after it was suspended.
Minister for Transport Fiona Hyslop said: “This direct connectivity is great news for people and businesses in both Scotland and China.”
