Egencia further expands reach
Expedia’s travel management arm Egencia has expanded its global reach by entering India and Switzerland.
In Switzerland a partnership has been established with an unnamed Swiss travel management company to provide local fulfilment services.
The move follows recent launches in Australia, Ireland and Holland by the company, which claims to be the fifth largest travel management company in the world.
The company has also introduced new tools – a mobile flight information platform Egencia On The Go and integrated expense and travel management technology.
President Jean-Pierre Rerny said: “Corporate travel remains a vital part of doing business today, regardless of current economic conditions.
“In this turbulent climate, we realise that it’s important to have a travel partner that help drive results whilst offering proactive solutions and recommendations to our global customers.
“Our expansion into India and other European points of sale along with an investment in our technology offering are part of our commitment to meeting the needs of our clients during this critical time.â€
