Egypt’s new face in Australia
SYDNEY – Passport Marketing, a division of Hill & Knowlton, has appointed Lauren Penfold as the Australian account manager for their client, The Egyptian Tourist Authority (ETA).
She will be based in Passport Marketing’s Sydney office.
The decision to open a local ETA representation office reflects growing inbound numbers to Egypt. Latest figures show a 74 percent increase in Australian tourist movement to Egypt over the last four years.
In her new role, Penfold will be responsible for media and trade promotions.
ETA Australia’s initial focus will be on the development and distribution of new marketing collateral, as well as conducting co-op marketing activity with key trade partners.
ETA will also participate in various travel expos to raise awareness and increase exposure of the destination.
