Emerging B&B capital
Historic Wilmington and North Carolina’s Cape Fear Coast has started calling itself “The Bed & Breakfast Capital of Coastal North Carolina.”
The area now has nearly two dozen B&B’s, many of them located within Wilmington’s 230 block National Register Historic District.
Others are on barrier island beaches.
Some of the iproperties such as The Graystone Inn are AAA four-diamond rated.
Another property, the Murchison House, was recently chosen as one of 2005’s “Top 10 Most Romantic Inns” by American Historic Inns Inc.
The inns are increasingly attracting movie buffs. Cape Fear and Wilmington have been the site of many films.
