Emirates A380 touches down today
HAMBURG – Emirates has taken delivery of its first Airbus A380 which will land in Dubai this afternoon.
To mark the occasion, the airline signed a letter of intent for 30 Airbus A350XWB plus 30 A330-300s.
A luxurious A380 interior was also unveiled which will see the new aircraft equipped with two fully equipped bathrooms, including shower facilities in first class. 
 

Emirates also unveiled its Onboard Lounge, located in the Business Class cabin for use by First and Business Class passengers.
Another First Class social area and bar is located at the front of the upper deck.
The superjumbo will make its inaugural flight from Dubai to New York’s John F Kennedy International Airport on Friday. 


Emirates is the largest customer of the A380 with 58 already ordered.
To date, total orders and commitments for the A380 stand at 202 aircraft from 17 customers.
