Emirates boss backs Expo 2020 bid
Emirates president Tim Clark has added his support to Dubai’s Expo 2020 bid.
"I don’t know a better city to hold it because quite frankly we could hold Expo 2020 today in Dubai," he said.
"No other destination on the shortlist for Expo 2020, in my view, can do that," he said.
"This isn’t about lip service. This isn’t talking about what ‘they are hoping to do’ – this is what they will do.
"We want to bring in as many people from all over the world. Dubai will excel and exceed what the organisers expect."
Brazil, Russia, Thailand, Turkey, and the United Arab Emirates have all officially bid to host Expo 2020.
A decision on the successful bidder will be made later this year.
