Emirates reschedules launch of second Heathrow A380

Emirates will start flying its second daily A380 service from Heathrow to Dubai two weeks ahead of schedule after taking an early delivery from Airbus.

The flights will begin operating on June 15 on Emirates’ 2040hrs (EK004) service from Heathrow.

The airline already operates the A380 on its 1415hrs departure (Flight EK002) from the airport.

Emirates’ vice president UK & Ireland Conrad Clifford said: “Our passengers are giving the A380 rave reviews and we’re delighted to be able to introduce a second superjumbo service from London earlier than planned.”

On September 1, Emirates will also introduce a daily A380 service from Manchester to Dubai – the first time an airline has operated the ‘superjumbo’ from a regional airport.

The 517-seat aircraft offers 14 flat-bed First Class Private Suites, with electrically operated doors, and 76 fully-flat seats in Business Class – all with mini bars and aisle access.
