Enterprise Holdings acquiring Canadian car rental operator
Enterprise Holdings is expanding north of the border with the acquisition of Canadian operator Discount Car and Truck Rentals.
Enterprise Holdings’ Canadian subsidiary announced it will acquire all corporate-owned locations and the Quebec licensee’s daily rental businesses.
Discount Car and Truck has a presence in over 300 locations and the merger will offer more choice by combining complementary networks and service offerings, the company says.
"Through a broader fleet of cars and trucks of all sizes and an expanded portfolio of services the combined company will be in an even better position to meet the mobility needs of Canadian customers," said Steven Tudela, SVP of Canadian operations for Enterprise Holdings.
Enterprise Holdings operates from more than 600 airport and neighborhood locations across Canada through a network of independent affiliates.
Both companies will continue to operate independently until the deal is closed.
Discount Car and Truck Rentals was established in 1980 and says it has an office located within 15 minutes of 90% of the population in Canada.
