Ernesto style hurricanes not deterring travelers
Will more hurricanes such as the recent Ernesto discourage travelers?
Probably not, if you believe a survey by TripAdvisor.
It found 89% of 3,000 travelers said their plans are not affected by predictions of a busy hurricane season this fall.
More than half planned to visit hurricane susceptible destinations and another 57% planned to visit the Caribbean, which had a plethora of storms last year.
What disasters do travelers fear the most?
Earthquakes were mentioned by one third, followed by tsunamis.
Hurricanes trailed at 14%.
