Ethiopian Airlines heading back to Atlanta after short pause

Thursday, 19 Mar, 2026 0

Top African carrier Ethiopian Airlines is set to restart direct flights to Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.

The airline only recently suspended the route.

The Addis Ababa to Atlanta service resumes on May 21, 2026.

Mesfin Tasew, Group CEO of Ethiopian Airlines, said: “Atlanta is one of the most vibrant markets in the US, and Ethiopian Airlines is delighted to bring this route back. The route serves growing demand from business travelers, members of the African diaspora, and tourists.”

Atlanta is a major air hub. Ethiopian Airlines currently flies to multiple destinations across the US.

The Atlanta-Addis Ababa route remains the only one linking the US with East Africa.

Tickets are available for sale via Ethiopian Airlines’ website and mobile app.
