Etihad expands from London and Manchester
Etihad Airways is expanding services to Abu Dhabi from London and Manchester this winter.
An additional daily morning flight from London to the UAE capital will complement existing afternoon and evening departures from Heathrow.
A new evening service will run from Manchester on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
The changes are part of the airline’s winter timetable which starts on October 28 and will increase the total number of flights across the Etihad network from 556 to 718.
The introduction of the new UK timetable also coincides with the launch of Etihad Airways’ newest destination of Kathmandu on October 28.
UK country manager Clive Wratten said: “We now offer more flights from the UK than ever before and the new winter schedule is indicative of our commitment to the UK market.
“We are delighted to have successfully negotiated the all important daily morning slot at London Heathrow and now offer a choice of three departure times from Heathrow during the week.
“In addition, our new morning service from Manchester ensures air travellers all over the UK have the best possible access to our rapidly expanding international network.”
UK travellers can connection in Abu Dhabi to the two most recent additions to the carrier’s global network, Singapore and Brisbane, both launched last month.
