Etihad hails strong passenger growth in March
Etihad Airways flew more than 1.4 million guests in March, with 84% load factor.
It marks a 43% year-on-year growth, with first quarter passenger numbers at 4.3 million.
It follows a big year-on-year jump in passenger numbers the previous month.
“Our latest seasonal expansion in routes and frequencies has boosted Etihad’s weekly flights by 34%,” said Antonoaldo Neves, CEO of Etihad Airways.
This rises to 866 in the peak June-July 2024 season.
The airline recently announced its newest route to Al Qassim, Saudi Arabia.
It becomes its fourth Saudi route.
It also plans added frequencies on its European network.
These include double-daily flights to Frankfurt and Rome, offering morning and afternoon departures.
